I really love the green color on the way from Irbid to Amman during spring. (By the way green was and still my favorite color since my early childhood days). Unfortunately, these views don't last much; once Summer starts, all the fresh green grass will go dry and the only green thing you will see is the trees.
I missed a lot of other nice views. I couldn't take more pictures because the camera battery went down :(
Half a month ago, Softbank and TV Tokyo introduced the Toshiba made SoftBank 815T PB mobile phone which can transform into a robot figure.
It has enough AI to carry on simple conversations with the owner and show facial expressions on its screen. This phone will be released soon, and I read that its related to a soon-to-be aired Japanese drama called "Ketai Sousakan 7".
I bet that the one who came out with this idea is a transformers fan!
Finally I can keep my room windows open during day time, letting the wonderful breeze of March and the warm sun rays in! Fresh green color everywhere..
If you look well, you can see the shade of Mt. fuj..ahh I mean Mt. Alsheikh (جبل الشيخ) in the horizon. It becomes very clear on such clear sunny days.

Also the nice sounds of new birds(other than the usual everyday life brown 3asfoor that we all know lol)..

I believe that these days(March, April and early May) are one of the best times any one can spend in Jordan; except for few times when the weather becomes dusty during this period.
Here is a very nice song that fits the theme of this post. The first time I heard this song was in the super dramatic J-Dorama : "1 Litre of tears". I think anyone will also cry 1 litre of tears while watching it (T_T). The song title is : 三月九日 which means "the 9th of March"
*Edited* First, OMEDETOU GOZAIMASU for all the winners. Congratulations!! This year's speech contest was also an unforgettable event. This time there was a presentation section(English) and a speech section (nihongo).
A lot of interesting subjects were introduced in the presentation; I remember from them: a presentations about festivals in Japan, another one about vending machines, schools, karaoke and a lot of other topics.

The speeches also were really great! There were topics about Thanking mothers(winner speech), OTAKU, music, Islam... there was a topic that talked about how a cockroach could change someone's life! lol (人生を変えたゴキブリ).. It might look like a fun topic, but it holds a deep meaning about respecting all forms of life , as I believe.
In addition to this, students from JUST and UJ performed great skits. Both were wonderful but I am mostly proud of the JUST skit performance! ^^

Just came back after I attended the opening of the Japan week in the University of Jordan. It was really wonderful, and I was really looking forward to see the SOURANBUSHI ^^ It was really awesome. I was also surprised by the singing of the "sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana" song, because it's my favorite!! And it reminds me of my first year in the university because it was then when I first heard it. The martial arts part was cool too^^ In short, I had a nice day. Sorry there are no pictures, I spent the day taking videos of the performances ^^;

The story is not very new, but very interesting that it deserves a post. I was always wondering if this idea can be feasibly utilized to totally free us from wires~... A research team from MIT makes one step forward. Will we see products in the near future stamped with a WiTricity logo? ^^
Dropping the technical details, it says that an MIT team experimentally demonstrated wireless power transfer, potentially useful for powering laptops, cell phones without cords.
Wireless power transfer over two-meter distance, from the coil on the left to the coil on the right, where it powers a 60W light bulb. Members of the team that performed the experiment are obstructing the direct line of sight between the coils
They were able to wireless-ly light a 60W light bulb from a power source more than two meters away; there was no physical connection between the source and the appliance. The MIT team refers to its concept as "WiTricity" (as in wireless electricity)

It is said that the idea itself exists since a long time, but nobody tried to do actual work on it because there was no demand for such a system.
Why? When you think about it, for example 10 years ago or older, mobile devices weren't widely used as they are now; so normally the devices were stationary and the power cord we all know would have done just fine.
But now, with the advances in mobile devices, I think it would be very nice if your mobile phone or laptop will recharge it self automatically without needing you to connect the power cord each time the battery goes down. Or if the technology evolves more, we will no longer have the concept of a BATTERY ^^ ..this will really have its positives. It's known that the power unit including the battery takes a great part of the size and weight of any mobile device. If you want to try, remove the battery out of your laptop and see the difference in weight.
If we can get rid of batteries, the design of more compact mobile devices can become easier. ....unless this WiTricity technology would require us to integrate bigger power units! Another concern that might pop up to the mind is the health impact of such technology. And I think something else should be investigated. That is the impact of this wireless power transfer on the wireless transfer of data. In other words the interference that it might cause on data channels.
....Ooops....I'm so much into this now aren't I ?? Was I telling people from MIT what they should do?? wake up!wake up!^^;
To tell the truth, I am interested in the wireless technology, and I'm hoping to contribute to it's development some day....That's why I couldn't help but post about this, hope it finds some fans^^; I just hope that this wont turn into a technical blog! =D
Mission successfully completed. In the previous post I put the daruma doll with 1 painted eye to show my commitment for doing my best for my last final exams.

I just returned from my last exam, and painted the other eye (on Adobe Photoshop of course, since I don't have a real one :p). It feels strange knowing that I wont be going to the university as usual. 1 visit is left for JUST while I am still considered a student, that's when I go to get my graduation certificate.
Now I became like a master-less wandering samurai .. ww
But the Kanji storm is coming soon! I'm planning to boost up my kanji during my free time..another daruma san needed? ... I am going to need a lot of them from now on ..lol（＾▽＾）
To talk a little about the doll you see in the picture for those who feel clueless ; Daruma dolls are hollow and round Japanese dolls with no arms or legs. They are heavy on the bottom and bounce back when tipped over, so they have become a symbol of optimism, good fortune and strong determination.
Usually they are sold without the eyeballs painted in. People paint in one eye when they set out a goal and paint in the other one when they have achieved the goal.

I had my last lecture ever at JUST this Tuesday. Yesterday (Wednesday 9th of January) was the last official day for lectures/lessons and it was the day for graduation seminars . Some of my friends had seminars yesterday, so we -the senpai s who already did their seminars last semester - attended for support! Actually it reminded me of our seminar day in MAY 2007. So now the final exams period has started..and this time they will be my last final exams as a JUST student. I only have two; on the 16th and 17th of this month.

I am very thankful for Y. san, T. sensei and O. sensei for attending our J.U.S.T. Japanese language class last Thursday, 3rd of January. That was my last nihongo lecture. I am glad that students has learned alot. Actually I didn't think that we will go that far in nihongo when i first though to open the class.

So it's over! Actually this semester was very fast, I wasn't particularly busy at any time other than exam times. This was a VERY special semester-especially the last part of it. Now some people can say that they studied nihongo in IRBID during a whole semester! (^o^)y
