The new class times for the Japanese language course are every Tuesday and Thursday with two sections :
1) 11:15~12:45
2) 2:15~3:45
You can choose the section that suits your time.
And for those who asked about a 3rd section for Mondays and Wednesdays, there will be one inshalla after mid November.
...How popular nihongo can become sometimes! (笑)

Future Boy Conan opening (^▽^)
I was curious to see how does the opening of this old Japanese anime look like.
In the arab world, this is Anime is widely well known as (عدنان و لينا).
Well, in the original Japanese version, the boy's name is Conan, and the girl's name in Lana.
Anyway, i found that the opening song has the lyrics in both hiragana and romaji.
Those who would like to see and hear the hiragana they learned in action are encouraged to see this video! :p
Actually this reminds me of the old childhood times when anime graphics were very simple, but yet the stories were solid and very interesting. Unlike most modern anime where the focus is on the graphics and fancy characters with no convincing story (at least most of the time, i know that alot of modern anime are great ^^ )
Thats all.

My first Japanese class
Today i started giving the Japanese language course in J.U.S.T.
What can i say, things went far better than i expected!^^ I could see a great interest in the language. I even found some people who have a light background about the language because they watch Anime or J-drama and participating with what they learned from them.
In todays section, 40 or more students attended the class.
The topics were : writing systems, daily life and class expressions. I used both hiragana and romaji for the expressions since i didnt teach hiragana in detail yet. This will be the topic of the next class..
Using hiragana before totally teaching it to students,as i believe, is useful. This way they will come to the next class with some background about hiragana that was learned from the expressions.
One active student actually wrote his name from the hiragana he collected from the expressions we used and showed it to me.
Actually there is something crazy about me : I love teaching Japanese language very much, and when i start i can hardly stop. For example, today after the actual class time ended, some students who had lectures left. Others who had no lectures stayed and asked for more, and i gave like 30minutes more..but i had to stop after that because i had to leave for my network security lecture. i would continue if i didn't have that lecture :p
My Japanese is not perfect. But i think my level is enough to teach a beginner and lower intermediate course...
I'm taking this class seriously, it's a great responsibility and i want everyone to benefit from it. I will utilize all the tools i have to deliver correct and accurate information.
I'm enjoying it, students are enjoying it, それは何よりです!
Let's see how many more students we can add to the growing nihongo learners community in Jordan! (^_^)y

Happy Eid!
Greetings for every one on the occasion of Eid! May you spend the best times with your families, friends and beloved ones.
Since my blog is visited by many ppl around the world, I'm gonna explain a little more :
Today was the last day of Ramadan. Muslims celebrate the happy occasion of Eid Al-Feter after the end of Ramadan. In Eid people visit their relatives and friends and have fun times..
In the early morning there is a special prayer hed in mosques called Al-Eid prayer. Its really nice to hear these prayers in the Eid morning.
Eid is also a really great time for those who like sweets!(cough!)like me.
Alot of sweets, cookies and chocolates are served when people visit each other.
By the way, in Jordan (and maybe other places) it is very common to eat something called "gras el eid = bread of eid = イードのパン" as part of the breakfast on the eid morning. It is some kind of bread with special patterns on it. It is "painted" with a thin layer of oil. Personally i love it very much specially when it's home-made! Grandma usually sends us some of her home-made eid no gras...最高だよ!^^
Some eid cookies pictures :
hmmmm..whats more? Yea in Eid kids like to play with alot of fireworks! Sometimes this can become annoying!:p
That's all, i hope somebody learned something new by reading this post!

It has been like more than 2 years since i last held a pencil and drew an anime sketch! I used to enjoy it very much..and I'm sure i still do..but so far the problem has been TIME >_< ..maybe i can find some time during this last not-very-busy semester. Here are some sketches from the old days(and notice the nihongo mistakes :p )
今日はここまでで~す!
A missing 「う」 at last
Same missing 「う」 mistake
A major particle mistake!^^; (おいおい that was more than 2 years ago)
And yea, not so good one.The left eye is a little larger

It's official! (^_^)
Starting from Sunday 21st of October, I will start giving a free beginner Japanese Language class in the CSDC (Civil Society Development Center) in J.U.S.T.
Classes are Sunday,Tuesday,Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00 pm.
This is the poster that I designed, very similar to the one designed by the center except that I added the chibi maruko chan image and the "k-chan" logo.
This is not my first experience teaching Japanese language as I have individually taught some friends who were interested. Also in my training office, I gave some lectures for 4 or 5 students but it didn't continue because most students finished their training period.
I'm looking forward to start the new class!(^_^)
