Future Boy Conan opening (^▽^)

I was curious to see how does the opening of this old Japanese anime look like.
In the arab world, this is Anime is widely well known as (عدنان و لينا).
Well, in the original Japanese version, the boy's name is Conan, and the girl's name in Lana.

Anyway, i found that the opening song has the lyrics in both hiragana and romaji.
Those who would like to see and hear the hiragana they learned in action are encouraged to see this video! :p

Actually this reminds me of the old childhood times when anime graphics were very simple, but yet the stories were solid and very interesting. Unlike most modern anime where the focus is on the graphics and fancy characters with no convincing story (at least most of the time, i know that alot of modern anime are great ^^ )
Thats all.
またね!

「未来少年コナン」は今でも傑作(けっさく)アニメ作品です。

I believe that the "future boy Conan" is one of the best animes still now, and it was the origin of all of Ghibli works.

Amani-san,

You didn't know that 3adnan wa Lina was Miyazaki? Where is the Japan geek in you?

By the way, I never watched Future boy conan in Arabic. I just didn't turn the TV on at the right time, but I remember during university, everybody watched it again. I remember during 'human factors' lab, the guys were discussing 3adnan wa Lina and one of them challenged everybody to say the name of 3absi's (Gimsy's) girl friend's name..

hah, good times. Anyway, I didn't know what they were talking about at the time and I felt I was robbed from part of my childhood, so I got the series in Japanese and watched it. I consider it one of my favourite series.

Also, I just watched laputa for the first time last night.

I love his imagination. I also love how the drawing style and animation give lots of depth to the characters. I sometimes feel they are more convincing than Holliwood actors.

But Nausicaa > Laputa

yea i didn't know. I must be ashamed of putting the totoro pic on my profile(笑) :p
maybe somehow ,and unconsciously, the Japan geek in me knew it was a miyazaki work, since the drawing style of his works is unique.

Laputa was the first anime i saw in Japanese audio(near 4 years ago, thanks to D-san).
I remember me thinking at first when i saw the characters: "what is this?another adnan wa lina?" lol

most of his stories are as strange as dreams are! laputa, tonari no totoro and sen to chihiro no kamikakushi are what im refering to.

And yea..truely very convincing!! one example that just popped up into my mind is how "crying" is illustrated,,sometimes i really feel that i want to cry along with the character..very realistic!!(if u really want to try crying, watch the "grave of the fireflies" if you haven't already )

Before you referred to grave of fireflies, when you said 'how crying is illustrated', I immediately remembered Seita, when setsuko was burying dead fireflies and told him that their mom was in one too. You must be referring to this part, I'm sure.

You must also see 'kaze no tani no nausicaa' and 'neko no ongaeshi'

As for future boy, I prefer the Japanese ending to the opening.

Yea Exactly!(T_T) im refering to this exact part!sniff(T_T)

i know neko no ongaeshi!:D the funniest part for me is when the girl first goes into that cat world and sees the fat cat BUta sitting loosely on a chair reading and flipping the newspaper!LOL! :D

kaze no tani no nausicaa,,i guess this is new for me. To be checked up soon :)

Nausicaa is much better than Laputa, in my humble but very correct opinion. My humble opinion is never wrong, you see.

btw, I posted finally.

wow,,, You all know about anime very much.... to tell the truth, I don't know much. hehe :p But I like "Laputa" very much. well,,, I have to confess that I haven't seen Naushika. ^^;;

Nada san,
yes there is a class :)

Hiro san,
:D well we actually discovered that Jordanians are more otaku than Japanese themselves(笑)
but you know in gaikoku (and Jordan is one) being an otaku means being an addict to anime, manga or games. It doesnt contain the meaning of being socially isolated like how it means in Japan. So outside Japan, people consider being an otaku as something cool!lol :D
