الآنسة تومومي تعمل كمعلمة موسيقى متطوعة في إحدى مدارس الأونروا في مخيم للاجئين في اربد و فترة عملها ستمتد إلى سنتين من الآن.

من أحد الأشياء التي أخبرتني بها في لقاءاتي معها أن مادة الموسيقى في

 المدرسة كانت تعطى بشكل نظري فقط حيث تقوم الطالبات ب"حفظ" المادة النظرية من نوتات وايقاعات من غير فهم المعنى الحقيقي لها.. كما أن المدرسة لم تكن مزودة بأي آلة موسيقية تتيح للطالبات تطبيق ما يتعلمونه عملياً.

آلة الريكوردر التي تعزف عليها الطالبات في الصورة قد تم جمعها كتبرعات من طلاب المدارس الأساسية في اليابان لإستخدامها 

في المدارس التي يذهب إليها المتطوعون حيث أن العزف على هذه الآلة يعتبر الحد الادنى من الثقافة الموسيقية للمرحلة الأساسية في اليابان.

و الصورة هي لعرض أداء طالبات الصف السادس في المدرسة أمام المعلمات الأخريات بعد شهر من تعلمهم لآلة الريكوردر على يد المعلمة تومومي التي تقول بأنها سعيدة لأن الدو ري مي بالنسبة للطلاب لم تعد مجرد نصوص في كتب بل أصبحت شيئاً يستطيعون الشعور به وادراكه.

-الشباب العربي والأردني بشكل خاص لديه الكثير من الطاقات والمواهب لكن فرص تفريغها واستخدامها بشكل إيجابي قليلة جداً . 

-النشاطات اللامنهجية مهمشة جداً في معظم مدارسنا بالرغم من أهميتها في بناء شخصية الطالب خارج إطار المدرسة الضيق .

-سأبدأ سلسلة عن النشاطات اللامنهجية في مدارس #اليابان.  

1-في اليابان تولى النشاطات اللامنهجية أهمية كبيرة جداً في المدارس والجامعات . 

2-في كل مدرسة أو جامعة يوجد أندية أو مجموعات ذات إهتمام معين سواء رياضي فني أدبي أو موسيقي. كل نادي له جزء من ميزانية المدرسة لدعمه. 

3-ينضم الطالب في بداية العام إلى النادي الذي يناسب ميوله وإهتماماته. كل نادي له أوقات إجتماع للأعضاء بعد الدوام المدرسي. 

4-يأخذ الطلاب مهمات واجتماعات النادي على محمل الجد.معظمهم يقضي على الأقل ساعتين بعد الدوام في التدريب أو في نشاطات النادي

5-لذلك المدرسة بالنسبة للطالب الياباني ليست فقط مكاناً لإكتساب العلم، بل مكان لتعلم مهارات القيادة وروح الفريق. 

6-قد تجد بعض الطلاب ضعيفين أكاديمياً لكن لديهم مهارات فنية أورياضية على مستوى عال تكسبهم الثقة بالنفس والقدرة على الإندماج في المجتمع. 

7-في مدارسنا نحدد الطلاب بالخط الأكاديمي في الحياة.ولضعف النشاطات اللامنهجية يجدالطالب الضعيف أكاديمياً نفسه راسب إجتماعياً.  

8-في كل عام هناك عدة مناسبات في المدرسة يستطيع من خلالها الطلاب إستعراض مهاراتهم التي تعلموها من خلال انضمامهم للأندية 

9-هناك أيضاً إهتمام كبير بالبطولات الرياضية للمدارس على مستوى اليابان لعل من أهمها بطولة البيسبول للمدارس الثانوية. (تسمى كوشيئن)

10-كوشيئن حدث رياضي مهم جداًويتابعه البالغون وطلاب الثانوية على حد سواء. حلم كل فريق بيسبول في كل مدرسة ثانوية هو نيل المركز الأول.

11-خلاصة التغريدات السابقة:النشاطات اللامنهجية لها دور مهم في #التربية ولو تم الإهتمام بها أكثر لكان حال الوطن العربي أفضل.

12-الأمانة،اخلاص العمل،روح القيادة والإلتزام أموريجب العمل عليها منذ نعومةالأظفار. نموذج مدارس اليابان يمكن الإستفادة منه في مدارس العرب.

On the way down to Petra a month ago..

I totally forgot about these pictures! I took these pictures during my trip to southern Jordan last month and was planning to include them with the trip post.

These were taken on the road down to Petra. It was very nice to see some Japanese language there! makes me wonder-happily-, why Japanese??

Adventure in South Jordan

Went on a 4 day trip/adventure with my family to the south of Jordan.

Stayed in WadiRum for the first night where time seemed to be stopping while watching the amazing starry night sky in the middle of dessert with hundreds of shooting stars showing every now and then.
It was my first time to stay in WadiRum, such an unforgettable experience!

日本語コースの成果 :: 「最後の作文」

「最後の作文」はクラス３の皆さんが選んだ最後の作文の題目です。
なんて変な題目だなーと思う人がいるかもしれませんが、この題目にはちょっと寂しい気持ちが入ってます。

この作文「プロジェクトｗ」の目標は皆それぞれの国の有名なことについて作文を書くことでした。
私はぺトラについて書きました。
それは比較的に難しかったけど非常に勉強になりました。それに、自分の国について作文を書けるようになって本当に嬉しかったです。

＊＊＊＊＊＊ぺトラ遺跡＊＊＊＊＊＊

「エル．ハズネ」ぺトラの一番有名な建物。

ヨルダンと言うと、青いアカバの海や月の地面に似ている美しいワーディラムや地方で最も低い場所として有名な死海などの観光地を必ず思い浮かべます。しかし、その中で一番人気なのはぺトラの遺跡なのではないかと思います。
ぺトラはバラ色の町として知られていて、もともと紀元前400年ごろに、ナバテア人という砂漠の遊牧民に作られて、彼らの首都になったそうです。

ナバテア人たちは、商業の盛んな民族だったので、敵に攻撃されないように首都を安全なところに建てるのは重要でした。それで、ヨルダンの南の巨岩や奇岩がたくさんある砂漠を選んで、見つからないようにぺトラをそこに建てました。その結果、ぺトラは周りの砂漠からまったく見えません。

ぺトラの遺跡が発見されたのは19世紀ごろで、スイス人のイスラム学者によってです。
それは比較的最近なので、ぺトラは上手くかくされた町の代表として考えられています。
ぺトラは発見されたときから、人気がどんどん出てきて、1985年に世界遺産に最も古い時代の遺跡の一つとして登録されて、2007年に新世界七不思議にも登録されました。
さて、ぺトラはほかの遺跡に対して特別なところだとおもわれています。どうしてかというと、理由がたくさんありますが、その中での一番主要なのはぺトラの建造物です。
具体的に言うと、町には入口が一つしかありません。それは、「シーク」と呼ばれている細長い岩の谷にある道です。

シーク

高さ100メートルで、はば２メートルのところもあります。長さ1.5キロメートルのシークを進んで行くとそこの暗さが突然(とつぜん)消えて、明るくて高い「エル．ハズネ」というぺトラの一番有名な建物のすがたが現れます。

シークを歩き続けると明るいバラ色のぺトラが突然現れます。

不思議なことにぺトラの建物は基本的に全部岩が削られてできています。しかも建てられた時代は昔だったのにそのようなりっぱな建物ができたのはとても難しくてすばらしいのです。また、この突然の色や景色の変化は他の世界中の遺跡にはありません。
現代は観光客がいろいろな国からぺトラに来て、馬やラクダに楽しく乗ってシークを通ります。そしてシークを出たら、エル．ハズネだけではなくていろいろなことも楽しむことができます。例えば、たくさんのおみやげの売店では砂漠の砂から作られた砂ボトルも買えます。しかも最も有名なアラブコーヒーが伝統的なテントで体験できます。

ぺトラは２０００年以上の間ずっと変わらないままで、まるで時間の流れにちょうせんしているみたいです。それはナバテア人の優秀な文化を表すのではないかと思います。このようにヨルダンで観光する人にとって、ぺトラはとても人気のある観光地です。あなたもいかがでしょうか？

Garbage separation and disposal

I found this poster in the lodge elevator the other day.
Since the new semester is starting, new students start to arrive to the lodge(which makes me a senpai!iyey!) and you can find a number of instructions about life in the lodge here and there.
This one shows the correct way to separate and dispose garbage.
I took a picture to keep as a reference, and I found out that I have a couple of small mistakes in the way I dispose my garbage^^;

As everyone -hopefully- knows, garbage separation in Japan is very important. As a participant in the Environment Course of the Tokyo Discussion Session 2007 and as an environment enthusiastic, let me talk a bit about it.

Why separate?
Because garbage is recycled here.

What is recycling?
It means that garbage is taken to factories in order to process and re-make them into useful products.

Why recycle?
In countries with large populations like Japan, imagine what happens if you keep disposing garbage. Eventually, it will not be possible for disposal sites to accommodate the large amounts.. So recycling them and turning them into usable items instead of just disposing them helps a lot.

Then, again why separate?
To recycle waste, separation is needed. Take paper recycling for example. Paper is recycled to produce less-quality-but-still paper. If it was mixed with plastic for example, this process can't be done.

Why don't factories separate waste?
Factories receive your garbage in addition to the garbage of tens of millions of people other than you. This makes this process impossible on the factory side. That's why, a small effort in garbage separation on the individual side makes a great difference and benefits everyone.

Jordan?
There are recycling factories in Jordan. But I think paper and cans are the most recycled items. (Just a thought based on what I see, no information).
I brought samples of environmental brochures printed on Jordanian recycled paper to the discussion last year.
There is also this active Bio-gas project. (In short using the gases produced by wastes in landfills to produce energy).
Although there are separation activities and projects here and there(And there is one in J.U.S.T.), waste separation is still not imposed in Jordan.
Maybe recycling industry is still not advanced enough to benefit from the full separation process.
(For computer engineers to understand this : Imagine running a threaded process on a processor that doesn't support threads) :D

Why did I write this much? lol
At first I just wanted to post the picture above, but before I knew it I found myself writing this much...

Now after you read this much, as a reward this is a video made by Kouki san about last year Environment Course.

I haven't seen this in a while so it brought back many memories..
I saw the professor(Kojima sensei) who was responsible about our course on a TV interview a week ago! I was surprised~

I really love the green color on the way from Irbid to Amman during spring. (By the way green was and still my favorite color since my early childhood days).
Unfortunately, these views don't last much; once Summer starts, all the fresh green grass will go dry and the only green thing you will see is the trees.

I missed a lot of other nice views. I couldn't take more pictures because the camera battery went down :(

三月,, か？もう春です！

Finally I can keep my room windows open during day time, letting the wonderful breeze of March and the warm sun rays in!
Fresh green color everywhere..

If you look well, you can see the shade of Mt. fuj..ahh I mean Mt. Alsheikh (جبل الشيخ) in the horizon.
It becomes very clear on such clear sunny days.

..colorful flowers..blossoms on trees start to bloom now with very nice blossoms and some of them look like sakura trees^^..

Also the nice sounds of new birds(other than the usual everyday life brown 3asfoor that we all know lol)..

I believe that these days(March, April and early May) are one of the best times any one can spend in Jordan; except for few times when the weather becomes dusty during this period.

Here is a very nice song that fits the theme of this post.
The first time I heard this song was in the super dramatic J-Dorama : "1 Litre of tears". I think anyone will also cry 1 litre of tears while watching it (T_T).
The song title is : 三月九日 which means "the 9th of March"

第11回日本語弁論大会- The 11th speech contest

First, OMEDETOU GOZAIMASU for all the winners. Congratulations!!
This year's speech contest was also an unforgettable event. This time there was a presentation section(English) and a speech section (nihongo).

A lot of interesting subjects were introduced in the presentation; I remember from them: a presentations about festivals in Japan, another one about vending machines, schools, karaoke and a lot of other topics.

The speeches also were really great! There were topics about Thanking mothers(winner speech), OTAKU, music, Islam... there was a topic that talked about how a cockroach could change someone's life! lol
(人生を変えたゴキブリ).. It might look like a fun topic, but it holds a deep meaning about respecting all forms of life , as I believe.

In addition to this, students from JUST and UJ performed great skits. Both were wonderful but I am mostly proud of the JUST skit performance! ^^

Japan Week Day 1

Just came back after I attended the opening of the Japan week in the University of Jordan.
It was really wonderful, and I was really looking forward to see the SOURANBUSHI ^^ It was really awesome.
I was also surprised by the singing of the "sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana" song, because it's my favorite!! And it reminds me of my first year in the university because it was then when I first heard it.
The martial arts part was cool too^^
In short, I had a nice day. Sorry there are no pictures, I spent the day taking videos of the performances ^^;

Japanese delegation activities in Jordan

Hi again!^^
The Japanese delegation members went back to Japan. We had really nice times and learned alot of things through this exchange. The farewell party took place this friday, but im very sad because i couldnt go due to some circumstances.

Hi all! ohisashiburi da yo ne~!
I was a little busy with the Discussion Session activities with the Japanese delegation.
In the discussion sessions we had here, we discussed 3 topics : Environment, Media and Education. I attended the environment and the media discussions.
The environment discussion took place the day before yesterday (saturday september 8th) in the dead sea. We had a great discussion and nice times....so..time for pictures!

ようこそ！ヨルダンへ！！：：Welcome to Jordan!!(^_^)

Tonight at 2:00 am, the Japanese delegation will arrive to Jordan.
They are the Japanese volunteers that took us in the Tokyo tour when we were in Japan. I'm looking forward to meet them again!
We will have alot of activities, and they will have fun touring Jordan. We will also provide homestay for 2 nights in Ramadan. I'm glad they will experience Ramadan with us.
I hope we will all enjoy our times! (^_^)

Hi all! i attended the event and took some shots too! So,i thought blogging today's event would be cool! ^_^
The photos were truely nice. They reflected the life of Japanese children after WW2.(本当の「戦争の子供」の写真を見た：：i saw real pictures of "children of war" )
Some pictures were truely heart breaking, others were cheerful.
